CSPD Is Out of Control

Police violence in our city is on the rise, with 2025 being one of the deadliest years in police shootings on record. The bodies that are supposed to investigate the CSPD when they use deadly force, the EPSO and 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, are doing nothing to hold them accountable. In over 100 cases of deadly force between 2015 and 2026, only 1 officer has ever been indicted. Officers kill with impunity and the result is a policy of police terror against our Black & brown communities!

We Demand Justice & Accountability

We are targeting the Colorado Springs mayor Yemi Mobolade & CSPD Chief Adrian Vasquez with five demands:

Fire notorious crooked cop Daniel Mork

Create an appointed council with direct oversight over the CSPD

Reopen all use-of-force investigations against CSPD officers in the last decade through an independent body

Create a public database of all police misconduct, including a photo of the officer, their name, badge, and current team

And finally...

Community Police Accountability Council

The fifth and final demand is an all-elected, all-civilian police accountability council with the power to oversee the CSPD, review misconduct, and hire & fire all officers in our city including the Chief of Police!

This council would finally give Black, Chicano, Indigenous and working people of Colorado Springs a say in who polices our communities and how.

These families include...

Alex Martinez-Sarmiento

On July 5th 2025 Connor Jacob Wallick shot Alex in the back while he was running away

Benji Greenfield

On April 4th 2026 officers chased, trapped, and shot Benji 27 times while he was in his truck, claiming he shot once

Mike Foster

On Feb 2nd 2026 Dan Mork and Steven Mibert chased, cornered, and shot Mike six times, five of them while he was on the ground crawling away. Mike survived and is now fighting charges from CSPD

Nathaniel "Johnny" Altman

On March 31st 2025 Carlos Pittman shot Johnny in the back while he was running away with his hands up
